MMR was founded in the 1980’s by Manuel Menéndez, who was born and lived in Gijón and belonged to a lineage of several generations associated with bicycles and great-nephew of the famous cyclist from Gijón José Menéndez “Pinzales”.

Our philosophy is brought to life through our sponsorship of the UCI Pro Team Caja Rural-Seguros RGA and the Samuel Sánchez-MMR Cycling Academy. We actively collaborate with professional teams across various disciplines, including the Nesta-MMR Cyclocross Team and the Sopela Women's Team, reinforcing our commitment to the cycling community.
