ALGORITHM ENHANCED AERODYNAMICS
The Artech rims' shape is shaped by Algorithm Aerodynamics (AEA) technology, ensuring optimal aerodynamic performance. Initially developed in2017 with the University of Technology Delft, the 2D AEA algorithm considered rim and tire interaction. Scope advanced this by creating a D algorithm that incorporates the entire bike and its components for superior aerodynamics.
SURFACE STRUCTURE AERODYNAMICS
Scope studied surface structures after defining optimal rim, discovering that fish scales reduce aerodynamic drag, a concept inspired by nature and tested in aerospace. Fish scales streamline movement in water, while smooth rim surfaces can cause unstable laminar airflow, known as the Tollmien–Schlichting wave. The patent-pending Aeroscales create varying velocity streaks over the rim surface, stabilizing airflow and reducing drag.
LIGHTWEIGHT 3D PRINTED
Topology optimization is a mathematical algorithm that shapes the hub shell to be lightweight while maintaining strength, often resulting in a bone-like structure inspired by nature This process is enhanced by 3D printing technology, leading to extremely strong and lightweight designs. Artech hub shells are 3D printed in Germany Scalmalloy, a high-performance alloy used in industries like and Formula One.
Artech 2.A
Developed for steep paved and smooth gravel racing. With a total set weight of only 990 grams, the Artech 2.A is the lightest all-road wheelset available and the ultimate choice for steep paved roads and hilly gravel racing.
